Legacy & Groove brings to life the sights & sounds of some of EWF’s greatest hits. Ray Howard has an amazing singing voice strongly matching Phillip Bailey’s style and vocal range. He has been often complimented as being spot on, as not too many singers have Philip Bailey’s range and can do the songs justice. The Band has been often complimented and praised for giving true authenticity to EWF’s signature sound. You don’t just get a live performance but an experience that’s unforgettable. Ray Howard – Founder of Legacy & Groove / Lead Vocals / percussionist

Just like the original group, Ray’s roots began in Chicago Il, where he refined his craft starting in high school talent shows. Professionally he started as a touring background vocalist that led to stages opening for artists such as Gerald Levert, Lo-key, Men at large and Sounds of Blackness. Ray’s love of music spans genres and generations. Some of his musical influences include, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Gino Vannelli, Chicago, and of course Earth, Wind and Fire to name a few. Ray says, “The timeless classics of the 70s and 80s are reminiscent of the days of real musicians playing real instruments which equates to real music.

Carl Breeding – Keys

Grammy award winning producer & arranger – Carl has been involved with music since his early childhood years. He was able to hone his skills first as a drummer and then later the piano during his teen years. Professionally Carl has worked with some of R&B and Hip-hop music’s A listers. You can also hear some of his work in mainstream commercials for companies such as Wayfair and also in films like Disney’s Safety.

Sean Michael- Bass Guitar

Yonkers NY native was born for the Bass. He is a dynamic and versatile player known for his smooth grooves, impeccable timing, and deep musicality. With a style effortlessly spans jazz, R&B, pop, funk, and beyond. Sean brings both technical mastery and soulful expression to every performance. Whether locking in a rhythm section or laying down a melodic solo, he elevates every project he touches with passion. A true musical chameleon, Sean continues to captivate audiences and collaborators alike with his unmatched versatility and dedication to the craft.

Anthony Curtis – Lead Guitar

Hailing from the island of the Bahamas, Tony as he is called, started playing the guitar at age 14 and had the opportunity to study classical guitar at Broad Ripple High School in Indiana. His studies continued with private jazz sessions with the late Vic Juris and a master class with Phil Upchurch. The 80’s found Tony playing with almost every top Bahamian artist to be named. Tony was later able to tour Japan and Canada with his own band – To the Limit. Recently Tony has decided to use his skills and experiences to pour into the youth at Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music – a top tier music school in GA that has been the most awarded school of its kind 10 yrs in a row.

Bobby Wilson – Trumpet

Bobby is considered one of Atlanta’s first call trumpet players. He has had the opportunity to share the stage with some great musicians. Such as Mickey Thomas with starship, Chris Vidala, Richard Smith, Mo pleasure, Freddie V and Sam Simms who played bass with both Michael and Janet Jackson. He is heard on many demos for some of the best private event bands in the Atlanta area and has performed for corporate events for the likes of Anheuser-Bush, Delta, kodak and the Kentucky Derby throughout the U.S, Central America and the Caribbean. Bobby loves to perform choreography with the bands he plays with as he loves to interact with the audience while performing.

Zdany Chisholm – Sax

Whether it’s on stage for thousands of music lovers abroad, smaller intimate events locally or in studio sessions, Z as he is affectionately called is always ready to operate in excellence and provide you with an outstanding musical experience. He has toured with international jazz artist Cody Chestnut and played at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival with Larry Graham and Bootsy Collins. Z strives to continually stay grounded and meek with all the many blessings and opportunities that have come his way

Eric Moore – Vocals

Atlanta GA native, Eric is an accomplished vocalist and actor. His singing stye blends gospel, jazz, contemporary and bluegrass. Eric has appeared in several local and national touring shows and films that include over 40 U.S. and Canadian cities.

BJ Johnson – Vocals

Bj’s singing began in her youth church choir which led her to a degree in Music entertainment from the Art Institute of Atlanta. She has used her skills as a worship leader, touring background vocalist, as well as performing lead roles in stage plays and independent films.

Trisha Spicer – Vocals

A Boston native, Trisha has always been around music since her youth. From directing choirs at several conferences across the U.S. to becoming a multi-faceted background vocalist.
