This week is somewhat quiet, but there’s always something cooking in Tribute World –perhaps most interestingly, the touring collaboration of a world-class tribute band with a national act.
Brit Floyd and Alan Parsons Team Up for West Coast Dates
Brit Floyd, known as the world’s greatest Pink Floyd tribute show, has announced that it is teaming up with Alan Parsons for a limited series of five West Coast dates beginning July 2025.
This is a somewhat unusual pairing of a national act with a tribute act that features complimentary styles of music and may portend other collaborations of this type in the future.
The tour will begin at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, with stops in San Diego, Reno, and Murphys, CA. This exclusive double feature will also feature PJ Olsson on vocals, promising a spectacular tribute to Pink Floyd’s music.
A Tribute to The Allman Brothers Band electrifies Nevada City
On Saturday, January 25, 2025, the Miners Foundry Cultural Center in Nevada City, CA, will host “Brothers Beyond Description: A Tribute to The Allman Brothers Band.”
This all‐ages event promises a high-energy performance honoring the timeless sound of Southern rock, as members of the locally celebrated Band Beyond Description return after a successful tribute show last spring.
The show will feature dual drummers, dueling guitars, and soulful grooves designed to recreate the unmistakable vibe that made The Allman Brothers legendary.
Talking Heads Tribute Band Benefit Concert at Anderson Valley Grange
This Saturday’s benefit concert, reported by the Mendocino Voice on January 29, 2025, sees Northern California-based cover band Burning Down the House take the stage at the Anderson Valley Grange center in Philo, CA.
The event supports local causes by raising funds for community radio station KZYX and the Grange, a historic community hub that has long provided educational and social resources in the region.
In addition to live music, the show will feature a “big suit contest” inspired by Talking Heads’ iconic frontman David Byrne, local DJs, and a selection of food and drink options available for purchase.

Ex–Hi-5 member Nathan Foley is set to launch two new tribute shows that celebrate iconic Australian pop and rock. His “Aussie to the Bone” performance will kick off at the Penrith Panthers during the Australia Day long weekend, offering a two-hour concert covering hits from John Farnham, INXS, Little River Band, Cold Chisel, and Daddy Cool.
Foley’s follow-up show, “Unforgettable,” begins on February 16 at the Avoca Beach Theatre, where he will pay homage to timeless classics by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and Tom Jones. The dual-show tour promises to bring energy, nostalgia, and a sense of community to audiences across New South Wales.
