Brit Floyd and The Australian Pink Floyd Show are the two biggest Pink Floyd tributes working in 2026, with 89 North American dates and a two-continent tour between them. Below are twelve acts worth booking, ranked, each with a show you can go and verify.
I have rebuilt this page from the ground up for 2026. The previous version was written in early 2023 and it had started telling readers about tours that finished three years ago, so every act here has been re-checked against a venue listing or the band’s own calendar. Three bands that used to be on this list are gone, and I explain why at the bottom rather than quietly dropping them.
For what it is worth, I do this for a living. I played in a tribute act before Tom Scholz recruited me into the real BOSTON, and I sang lead on a number one classic rock single, so the gap between a good tribute and a great one is something I have felt from the stage rather than read about.
How we ranked them
Pink Floyd is the hardest catalog in this entire business to cover honestly. The songs are long, the arrangements are patient, and half the effect lives in the production rather than the notes. A band can play every part correctly and still miss it completely by rushing.
So the ranking weighs four things. Verified 2026 touring, because a tribute that is not working is not really an option. Production capability, meaning lights, projection and quadraphonic or surround sound where the show calls for it. Whether the band commits to full albums rather than a hits set, which this catalog rewards more than any other. And musicianship, particularly on the slow material where there is nowhere to hide. Where a claim could not be checked, it is not on this page.
1. Moon Shadows
Moon Shadows is a Las Vegas production founded in 2014 by John Menitti, and it runs nine performers plus a dedicated sound technician, which tells you what kind of show it is before you hear a note. Members have shared stages with Celine Dion, Lou Gramm of Foreigner, and The Eagles. That is session-level playing applied to a catalog that punishes anything less.
The concept is the reason it sits at the top for us. They perform The Dark Side of the Moon complete, track by track, inside a full multimedia staging, with selections from The Wall and Wish You Were Here ahead of it. The Stadium Theatre in Woonsocket, Rhode Island has them booked for September 12, 2026. “Great Gig in the Sky” is the moment the room goes quiet, and their lead female vocalist earns it. If you want the album experience rather than a covers night, Moon Shadows is the act to book.
2. Brit Floyd
Nobody is out more than Brit Floyd in 2026. Their North American run, “The Moon, The Wall and Beyond,” was expanded to 89 shows, opening February 9 in Hamilton, Ontario and running through August, including a two night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 4 and 5. Eighty nine shows is not a tribute band’s schedule. That is a touring act’s schedule.
Damian Darlington formed the band in Liverpool in 2011 after seventeen years with the Australian Pink Floyd Show, and he, Ian Cattell and Rob Stringer have held the core together ever since, across more than 1,500 performances. They have played the Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Music Hall, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and the Teatro Antico in Taormina. One detail I have always liked: they credit their sound designer and visual designer as band members, which is the correct way to think about this music.
3. The Australian Pink Floyd Show
Aussie Floyd holds the one credential no other tribute band on earth can match. David Gilmour asked them to play his 50th birthday, and Gilmour and Richard Wright joined them onstage. Formed in Adelaide in 1988, they were the first Pink Floyd tribute to headline arenas, and they have sold more than five million tickets.
The 2026 show is “The Happiest Days Of Our Lives,” a greatest hits set. The North American leg opened July 16 at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas and closes September 21 in Kitchener, Ontario, taking in the Hult Center in Eugene on August 4, Humphreys in San Diego on August 13, the Smith Center in Las Vegas on August 15 and RiverEdge Park in Aurora on August 21. A UK and Ireland leg follows from late October to December, and then ten countries across Europe from February to April 2027. They are the only act here with 2027 already on the books.
4. The Machine
Formed in New York in 1988 by Tahrah Cohen and Joe Pascarell, The Machine is one of the two oldest Pink Floyd tributes in America, and the one that leans hardest into improvisation. That is the right instinct. Floyd stretched these songs live and most tributes play the studio version instead. Rolling Stone’s Matt Diehl put it well: “They duplicate the sound and hits of Pink Floyd with chilling accuracy, and they play for a hell of a long time.”
Cohen still drums, alongside Scott Chasolen on keys, Ryan Ball on guitar and Chris DeAngelis on bass and lead vocals, who joined after Pascarell died in 2020. Their 2026 dates run from Cohoes Music Hall in New York on June 13 through Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe on June 20, the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City on July 25, and the State Theatre in Portland, Maine on September 19. They have played Bonnaroo and Gathering of the Vibes, and they take requests, including an A to Z game where they pull one song per letter.
5. Pigs On The Wing
Twenty years old in 2026, and celebrating it properly. Pigs On The Wing came out of a one off Portland show in 2006, and founding members Jason Baker on guitar and Matt Jones on keys are still in it. Their anniversary production is Animals: the complete 1977 album in the first set, a Roger Waters era set in the second, with a full light show and live projection mapping.
They own the Pacific Northwest theater circuit. May 9, 2026 at the Bing Crosby Theater in Spokane was their sixth appearance at that room since 2017, and they play the Field Arts and Events Hall in Port Angeles on August 8, 2026, after the Rogue Theatre in Grants Pass in April and The Ruins in Hood River in June. Choosing Animals as the anniversary show rather than Dark Side tells you something about them. It is the harder record and the braver pick.
6. In The Flesh
Chicago’s In The Flesh, billed in full as Echoes of Pink Floyd, goes back to the late 1980s when Paul Willaert put the first lineup together with vocalist Pete Papageorge. Willaert still leads it on guitar, now alongside his son Mac on keyboards, and the players range from their twenties to their fifties. A father and son core in a band this old is unusual and it shows in how settled the arrangements feel.
Their shows run close to three hours with the visuals treated as seriously as the playing. They opened 2026 at the Des Plaines Theatre in Illinois on January 2, their second time in that room, and played the Sandwich Opera House on March 28. Reggies in Chicago is their home base. For a Midwest theater booking this is a well matched act, and the intimacy of the rooms they play suits the slower material.
7. Think Floyd USA
New to this list, and overdue. Think Floyd USA is a nine piece out of Chicago that has been running since 2004, which makes it one of the longest serving American acts in the category. They played the Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake, Illinois on May 2, 2026.
Their credential that caught my eye is Summerfest: they headlined the classic rock stage in Milwaukee two years running. Festival headline slots are a different test from theaters, because you are competing with a beer line and daylight. They have also played Park West, the Surf Ballroom and Sandstone Amphitheater. One caution, since two acts on this page make the same boast: both Think Floyd USA and In The Flesh claim to be the Midwest’s longest running Pink Floyd tribute, and they cannot both be right.
8. Think Floyd
The British Think Floyd, no relation to the Chicago band above, has been at this for over twenty five years and carries the second best endorsement in the category. Nick Mason, Pink Floyd’s drummer, called them brilliant. When an actual member of the band says that, it settles an argument that no amount of marketing copy can.
They play the White Rock Theatre in Hastings on September 25, 2026, and the Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay on December 4, 2026. For a UK theater or a festival stage this is the act with both the standing and the schedule. They do not publish a formation year or a home city, so I am not going to invent either.
9. In The Pink
The second Portland act on this list, established in 2016, and they play full albums the way this catalog wants: Wish You Were Here and The Dark Side of the Moon straight through, with lasers and period visuals. Their setlists rotate across everything from the first single to The Division Bell, so two shows in a year are not the same show twice.
They played Alberta Abbey in Portland on March 7, 2026 and Salem’s Historic Grand Theatre on June 27, 2026. Worth knowing if you are booking in Oregon: saxophonist Matt Sulikowski plays in both In The Pink and Pigs On The Wing, so check availability early if you want either act on a busy weekend.
10. Pinky And The Floyd
Bozeman, Montana, and going since 2007 under founders Luke Flansburg and Dustin Tucker. What makes them work is that the members play in something like twenty other bands between them, across jazz, funk and American swing, and that breadth is audible in how loosely they hold the arrangements.
They play Pine Creek Lodge in Livingston on June 18, 2026, priced as a two night stand, and they are regulars at The ELM in Missoula and the Mother Lode Theatre in Butte. This band lost founding keyboardist Joe Kirchner, a sixteen year member, in a motorcycle accident, and they staged two tribute shows for him at The ELM before deciding to carry on. Their own words on that were “we can do this without our brother,” and having watched bands face that choice, I know how hard it is to make.
11. This Is Floyd
Another new UK entry, and on raw date count they are one of the busiest acts anywhere in the category. They have published twenty three dates for 2026 running from August through December across England and Wales, including ICC Wales.
Twenty three self published dates in five months is a working band with a functioning agent, which is more than can be said for several acts that used to hold spots on this page. If you are programming in the UK and Think Floyd is unavailable, this is the next call to make.
12. The Floyd Effect
Based in Cambridge and touring since 2007, The Floyd Effect build their show around the circular screen, two separate sets of projections, smoke and lasers. For this catalog that is not set dressing. The circular screen is the single most recognizable piece of Pink Floyd stagecraft and surprisingly few tributes carry one.
They play Northwich Memorial Court in Cheshire on October 10, 2026. A mid sized UK theater act with real production values, and a sensible booking when the room can take the rig.
Three acts that have gone quiet
Previous versions of this page listed Pig Floyd, Beyond The Darkside and PIGS. All three are off it now, and I would rather say why than let them disappear.
Pig Floyd, the Southwest Florida act with the gas masks and the floating pig, no longer has a working website. Their domain does not resolve at all, and there are no upcoming dates listed anywhere. Beyond The Darkside, the big Australian production that played the Sydney Opera House, still has a tour advertised on its own site whose dates were “coming” in 2024. And PIGS, out of Victoria, British Columbia, is marked off tour, with the last show I can find logged in Nanaimo in April 2023. The “Coming Back to Life” tour that some venue pages still advertise ran in 2022.
None of that means these bands are finished. Tribute acts go quiet and come back. But if you are trying to book a show this year, you should know before you pick up the phone.
Which one fits your room
Book Moon Shadows if you want The Dark Side of the Moon performed complete inside a full production. Book Brit Floyd or Aussie Floyd if you are filling an arena or a large amphitheater and the budget matches. Book The Machine if you want a band that will stretch out and take requests. Book Pigs On The Wing for a Pacific Northwest theater, In The Flesh or Think Floyd USA for the Midwest, and Think Floyd, This Is Floyd or The Floyd Effect anywhere in the UK.
